Transforming Teens & Others Through GLOW

According to Christian researcher, The Barna Group, our youth want to know how to live our lives in a godly fashion and to do what God wants us to do. And, the Church can always use creative ways to impact our youth -- both to assure that those now in the Church stick with their faith after they leave their homes; and to reach out to those teens outside the Church, including through their Christian peers.

So, GIFT has developed a fun new youth ministry -- GLOW -- emphasizing Godliness, Love, Obedience and Witness.

It's based on the biblical encouragement, For God, who said, "Let light glow out of darkness," made His light glow in our hearts.

2 Corinthians 4:6 NIV.

GIFT's GLOW ministry can be used by youth leaders to give teens a simple, succinct, and memorable message.

We should glow like light in darkness and live a life of Godliness, Love, Obedience and Witness.

GLOW can be a fun and effective Transformational tool.

It's practically a complete Spiritual life message, a complete acronym.

We've provided a quick Powerpoint that can be given to youth groups. It can be the basis for engaging youth in discussion and encouraging their Spiritual formation. GIFT encourages:

Godliness -- learn about the character of God -- that God is merciful, Holy, forgiving and just -- and live like God. Re-present God in our daily walk!
Love like Christ loves us.
Obey God's word and His call on our lives.
Witness and bring others into Heaven with us.

Frankly, everyone can internalize this simple and fun theme, walk away with a better understanding of our God and our purpose, and glow into a right relationship with the Lord.
